BYU Men's Golf advances to NCAA Championships

The two-time Conference USA Second Team selection will be the only conference player on the national stage and the first golfer in Lieberwirth's career to advance to the championships. "The guys were good throughout the week and it was a different guy each day". Being paired with them this week was a real eye opener. You can't practice or prepare for that type of pressure when you are trying to qualify. "I'm so proud of Charlie and what he's done for our program and what he's going to continue to do next week in Stillwater [Okla.]".

The winners of the match-play portion of the championship will be crowned national champions. Hillier has nine top-20 efforts on the year. However, it was freshman Wilson Furr and senior Jonathan Hardee who led the charge for the Tide throughout the week.

Christofer Rahm led UNCW by finishing in a tie for 28th place at 4-over.

The Cowboys have the makeup of a team that should be the front-runner for the national championship - which they have proven with nine tournament wins this season (including a run of seven straight at one point). UCLA also had help from Madey, who finished tied for eleventh place at 2-under par. He closed his round with four pars for his 68. BYU's Patrick Fishburn finished second, shooting 10-under 206.

"I thought Jonathan was fabulous today", Seawell said.

The 60th S.C. Senior operated by the S.C. Golf Association tournament featured 89 players age 55 and older. Wilson was a star.

FSU finishes in the same place it began the day - in sixth place. "We played well, and it wasn't even close as far as qualifying. The course played very short for me because I hit the ball longer than most people my age". Andersson is in 42nd (+1) after posting a 2-over 73, Hinton shot 74 and is 50th (+2), and Gunnarsson sits tied for 69th with a round-three 79. Hodges rounded out the Tide in 61 position with a 223 (75-73-75). Lumsden said after the heartbreak of barely missing the finals a year ago, the team was determined to not let history repeat itself. We had chances in the second and third rounds, but we just didn't get it done. Most of the time, we're all about the same.

His team listened, but that doesn't mean they didn't do anything insane. "That bodes well for us next week".

Stanford shot a final-round best 277, but were edged by Kansas 844-845 on Wednesday at The Reserve at Spanos Park.

The Nevada men's golf team concluded its 2017-18 season Wednesday afternoon after placing ninth at the NCAA Norman Regional.

Florida won the NCAA Regional by 12 shots while the Gators, host team UCF, North Carolina, Vanderbilt and Kent State will advance to the NCAA Championship by virtue of their top five finish.
