'Avengers: Infinity War' hits China, becomes fifth biggest film ever

Popular YouTuber BasicallyIDoWrk put together a classic Avengers Infinity War trailer utilizing the Fortnite: Battle Royale universe and Replay System for an awesome video.

The Anthony and Joe Russo directorial earned 257.69 million dollars in its opening weekend, breaking the previous record holder Star Wars: The Force Awakens that had opened at 248 million dollars. Infinity War will take a little of that audience, but there's no reason to believe the film won't easily surpass $150 million. Melissa McCarthy's comedy "Life of the Party" debuted in second with US$18.5 million from 3,656 locations. However, if you are one of those who sat through Avengers: Infinity War without watching the previous films in the franchise and was not able to wrap your head around what exactly was happening, do not think you are the only one.

For all other Marvel virgins, Avengers: Infinity War is the 19th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that started a decade ago with Robert Downey Jr-starrer Iron Man.

"Infinity War" opened in the country on April 25 and broke the 1 million mark on the second day of its run, racking up a million views every day or two until reaching 9 million on its 13th day. That comprised earnings of $479 million in North America and $772 million in global markets.

Well, Marvel's reign of terror doesn't seem to be ending any time soon, as the film has reported massive turn-outs in worldwide markets as well. The film brought in an estimated $1.9 million this weekend, pushing its domestic cume to $696.2 million, leaving less than $4 million before the film becomes only the third domestic release to ever top $700 million at the domestic box office.

Ever since the film's surprising end, fans have been asking what happened to the characters who were not on screen in Avengers 3 - like Black Panther's sister Shuri, Hawkeye or, say, Thor's love interest Jane Foster (Natalie Portman)?
