Amazon Experience Centers will showcase Alexa in the ultimate smart homes

Amazon wants customers to give the Alexa a try, so they've partnered with Lennar to include the voice-activated technology in all their new homes. Now it is permitting Amazon alter some of them with even more of its products from Fire TVs and security cameras, to Dash Buttons and Prime Music services.

"Customers can experience first-hand the convenience of the Alexa smart home experience and more in a real home environment", Amazon explained.

Just as the new homeowner is moving stuff in, an Amazon technology expert will show up and make sure all the smart devices are working properly. If people are buying products to put into their homes, and many of those products represent the next generation of consumer electronics, it's important for Amazon to provide more real-world touchpoints both to better sell and explain the services, and to help make consumers - the majority of whom will not be early adopters - more comfortable with the purchases. "We picked Amazon because of our shared commitment to customers, their Amazon experts across the country, and their ability to connect customers with thousands of service providers through Amazon Home Services".

Experience Centers are now open in Lennar model homes in Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, Orlando, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington D.C., with more locations planned for the future.

According to CNN, Lennar builds around 30,000 homes every year and has an "everything included" pricing model, meaning what you see is what you get for one negotiated price. One needs to visit the "Amazon Experience Centers" to observe to experience shouting at a speaker to unlock the blind or press a button to order more toilet paper from Amazon Prime.

Amazon said that the goal of Amazon Experience Centers is to allow potential customers to experience the smart-home environment and entertainment options via its Prime service. Alexa from Echo devices is omnipresent to control the television, lights, thermostat, shades and other things.

Amazon offered something Apple didn't: customer service professionals who can come to your home and install or fix all these futuristic gadgets through Amazon Home Services.
