"Mama those who sold you out to the regime are here".

Madikizela-Mandela and Malema's relationship dates back when the EFF leader was still a prominent leader of Cosas and prodigy of former ANC Youth League (ANCYL) president Peter Mokaba.

"Sellouts? We can see you!"

As the pastors read out burial sermons, the Kupane Funeral Services groundsmen, clad in black suits and white gloves, performed a pre-burial ritual and then handed over a golden spade to the pall bearers.

He let it all out, saying that some of the leaders who were present showering praises on Winnie-Madikizela Mandela were the same people who had disowned her. She took on the most evil and powerful regime of the past century.

"I am here not to bury Mama, because mothers don't die. Only they know why they chose to share the truth now", she said.

Madikizela Mandela was laid to rest at Fourways Memorial Park.

She said Madikizela-Mandela had made a choice to raise her own family and the larger family of South Africa as her contribution to the struggle, but had always reminded her children that they were the most important people in her life.

Malema closed his emotive tribute by asking that Cape Town International Airport be named after her.

Malema and leaders of other political parties have also been allowed to be part of the dignitaries to bid their final farewell to the struggle icon at the cemetery.

Malema received the loudest cheers at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Saturday.

Some of the speakers at the funeral included President Cyril Ramaphosa, fashion icon and model Naomi Campbell and EFF leader Julius Malema.
