Vince McMahon Reportedly Messing With Internet Reports To Misdirect Fans

As noted earlier, via Wrestling Observer Radio, the new contract for WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar was made on the Monday before WrestleMania 34 at the go-home RAW in Atlanta and was signed on Sunday before the match in New Orleans. The context of their argument hasn't been revealed, but his behavior also got Brock some backstage heat from Shane McMahon. No words were exchanged during this apparent incident, and Lesnar then left the building.

WWE announced Monday it signed a new contract with Lesnar and he'll defend the universal title in a steel cage match against Reigns as part of the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on April 27. Brad Shepard, Managing Editor of, confirmed as much with an anonymous WWE source.

The report adds that Vince McMahon played kayfabe with regards to the altercation to other WWE Superstars and employees.

It was said that McMahon was unhappy with the unplanned table spot from the main event and talked to Lesnar about it.

It was also noted how Vince McMahon was working everybody before WrestleMania as he was telling people that Brock Lesnar was leaving to go back to the UFC after WrestleMania but that obviously isn't happening so rapidly. The report also notes that Lesnar is expected to stay in the company for at least a few more months.

According to Give Me Sport, Steven Muehlhausen of Sporting News and Fightful claims the five-time world champion put pen to paper on a multi-year deal and will be allowed to fight for Dana White's promotion as he is still under UFC contract, which he signed before his UFC 200 clash against Mark Hunt. However, if Lesnar were to fight in MMA again, he'd have to re-enter the testing pool for the US Anti-Doping Agency.
