Sony India launches a range of wireless headphones and speakers

The new products extend the company's Extra Bass line of speakers and headphones. The headphone line-up consists of the WF-SP700N, WI-SP600N, WI-SP500, WI-C300, WH-CH400 and WH-CH500, all of which support NFC and Bluetooth and are a part of Sony's Extra Bass range. The WF-SP700N and WI-SP600N also bring in support for Google Assistant which will be added via a software update.

The company had released three new speakers alongside the new headphones- SRS-XB21, XB31 and XB41.

All three speakers are waterproof, rustproof and rustproof and can be made to connect to one another through Sony's Wireless Party Chan mode that will be able to connect up to 100 speakers at once.

Sony claims the WF-SP700N is the word's first active noise cancelling earphone with a splash proof design. The earphones come with a one-touch-open charging case which will be able to charge the earphones within 90 minutes in order to be used for 3 hours of non-stop playback. It comes with Bluetooth version 4.1 and a 6mm driver unit. The WF-SP700N is connected with Bluetooth v4.1 and will be available in Yellow and Black starting next month for an asking price of Rs 12,990.

The WH-CH400 and WH-CH500 have on-ear and over-the-ear designs respectively. The WH-CH400 is an on-ear headphone, comes with an in-line mic for hands-free calling, support for Google Assistant and up to 20 hours of battery backup.

Along with the sports range, Sony has also launched an affordable wireless range with a starting price of Rs 2,990. The CH-400 has been priced at Rs 3,790.

The audio devices are water-proof and dust-proof and come with IP67 rating. These speakers are equipped with multi-colour line lights and focus on bass-heavy music and their "Party Booster" mode is said to enhance the beats by detecting tapping from 5 different directions curtesy its built-in accelerometer that generates a sound and lighting reaction. With the lights off, the XB31, and XB41 promise to offer 24 hours of battery, whereas the XB21 claims to deliver 12 hours of battery backup. The SRS-XB41 cost Rs 13,990 and come in Blue and Black colour options, the SRS-XB31 are priced at Rs 9,990 and come in Black, Blue and Red colour options.
