Mourinho slams United as they hand title to City

Jose Mourinho described his Manchester United players as "masters in complication" after their 1-0 home defeat to West Brom handed the Premier League title to Manchester City.

Jose Mourinho has not lost faith in his managerial qualities after Manchester City were crowned Premier League champions. It was three years ago, and I know how to win. Not just the performance level but also the mental level, the day-by-day, everything must be consistent, since day one until the last day.

Last season, the Spanish-born midfielder played a pivotal role in the midfield for the team in their run of winning the Europa League and the League Cup, which saw him gathered 50 appearances in all competitions, and took the award of the man of the match in the Europa League final against Dutch side Ajax. You need consistency at every level.

However, on Sunday, United looked lazy and uninspired and one mistake during the match cost them a humiliating defeat against the bottom-placed West Brom.

"I think he has to try to keep that level of stability, and from that stability of course will appear the special match with the special performance like it happened against City".

A stunning 3-2 comeback victory against City at the Etihad last week from United had given Red Devil supporters fresh hope their side could challenge next season. Probably because I won eight championships, I was not in the moon with the victory against them. "In my opinion it affected for sure some of the people that were too happy just with that", he said.

Jay Rodriguez's second-half victor meant City securing the league title with five games to spare.

Other fans praised United for congratulating City, who hold an unassailable 16-point lead over them. "They won because they were the best team and lost only a few points".

"We didn't want [to play] or couldn't play simple, everything was slow, one more flick, trick, turn".
