Moe Wagner Declares For NBA Draft

MI star Moe Wagner, one of the most recognizable faces of this year's NCAA Tournament due to his rise to stardom in the national spotlight, is leaving school early and entering the 2018 NBA Draft.

"I know this school means a lot of different things to a lot of different people ... and maybe this is going to sound corny", Wagner wrote.

In three years at Michigan, Wagner averaged 10.4 points-per-game with a 54.7 shooting percentage.

Head Coach John Beilein also chimed in on twitter saying his attitude is a great representation of MI basketball. "He truly embodies what MI basketball is all about". As one of four teams to finish the regular season with a 48-34 record, a tiebreaker was held - and they lost. He also shot 39 percent from 3-point range, and was the face of Michigan's NCAA Tournament run, which ultimately ended in a title-losing loss to Villanova. "I am confident he has a brilliant future awaiting him". "We wish him nothing but the very best in every way".

Now, he will have his chance to play in the same league as the National Basketball Association legend.

Beilein's Michigan NBA Draft Selections• Darius Morris (2011, #41 by Los Angeles Lakers)• Trey Burke (2013, #9 by Utah Jazz)• Tim Hardaway Jr.
