Manchester United Identify Paul Pogba Replacement, Chelsea Track £35m Midfielder

The French superstar has been linked with some of Europe's biggest clubs ahead of the summer transfer window, with reports that a breakdown of relationship with manager Jose Mourinho could see him leave United just two years after returning for a club-record £89million.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is ready to drop established players for the FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday after the Old Trafford club's weekend defeat by Premier League bottom side West Bromwich Albion. Ashley Fletcher had an opportunity to take all three points while Jesse Lingard had a goal disallowed in the 2nd half as Manchester United were unhappy to take a point after this match.

Scholes speaking to BT Sport about Pogba's dismal showing at Old Trafford versus West Brom: "I thought it was a bit disrespectful towards his manager the way he played".

In the derby with Manchester City, it was when the Red Devils found themselves 2-0 down that he sprang into action, so perhaps he does flourish when the pressure is off.

MANCHESTER UNITED face Tottenham in the FA Cup semi-finals on Saturday, but who will start the game?

"At half-time the manager told Paul to keep making those runs, he did and played a flawless pass which I was able to finish off".

Pogba has spent almost two years at Manchester United, however he has failed to justify the then world-record fee of £89million that the club spent to bring him back to Old Trafford.

"I think [Alexis] Sanchez, the great player he was at Arsenal and Barcelona - he's come in and been disappointing as well".

"The first ambition was to finish in the top four and we now need one point, maximum two".

This included Zlatan Ibrahimovic having a penalty saved by Artur Boruc as United's 20 shots were unable to beat Bournemouth and caused them another frustrating draw.

"I know how to win titles".

Paul Pogba 7: - The Frenchman had one of his better displays that saw him pick up the ball in the middle and surge forward on more than one occasion.

"No doubts we should have 10 more points than we have".

"I don't agree", Mourinho said, per Sky Sports.

Jose Mourinho has chose to axe some under-performing stars for the FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham in the wake of Manchester United's alarming loss to West Brom.
