Man kills 2-month-old son suspecting wife of having extramarital affairs

In a tragic incident, a teenager allegedly punched his two-month-old son to death on the suspicion that the child was born out of an extra-marital affair.

The juvenile had earlier been apprehended in several cases of mobile snatching and was now unemployed. Her husband was not in the home. Additional DCP, Rajender Singh Sagar, said that the police had come to know about the incident when the child's mother took him to the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital where he was declared dead.

It may be mentioned that doctors at the hospital informed the police after they found strangulation marks on the neck of the baby.

Almost a year ago, the couple had married in a temple after girl's parents opposed the relationship.

The couple both minors have no documented proof of their wedding and claimed that they had been living together and married at a temple. And on basis of the girl's statement, the 16-year-old father was booked under section 302 at the Mangolpuri police station. Since the 17-year-old father was addicted to drugs, the girl used to support the family with her job as a salesperson.

The juvenile boy who had fled the house was later apprehended from the area. He suspected the girl of having an affair with a colleague at her shop and often fought with her over that. The dad, who had been out for work, returned home and located the female sleeping with the body. After baby fell unconscious, the accused strangled him. A case of murder has been registered against the teenager.
