Man arrested, charged with domestic battery with 2-year-old present

The chief of the Muncie Police Department has provided WXIN - a Tribune Media sister station of WQAD in Indianapolis - some context regarding a viral video of officers using force during an arrest Sunday.

The chief says the officers didn't know whether the man had a weapon on him.

Police Commissioner Richard Ross, an African American, defended the police officers' actions. He was charged with theft of identity of another without consent, said a Glasgow Police Department press release. He said the officers "did absolutely nothing wrong" and were professional in their conduct toward the individuals but "got the opposite back". Smith was not wounded or struck by the gunfire, police said.

The law states that any person who in any public place or in sight of any public place persistently solicits or importunes to obtain clients for any prostitute or for any other immoral objective shall be guilty of a misdemeanour. "If a business calls and they say that 'Someone is here that I no longer wish to be in my business, ' [officers] now have a legal obligation to carry out their duties and they did just that". They are due to surrender within the next few hours.

According to West Garo Hills police chief, MG Raghavendra Kumar, the enquiry revealed that the incident took place near a picnic spot at Mronggre Bikonggre, in Chibinang area of Phulbari.

In an interview, a resident, who identified herself only as Lydia, said: "The situation is too bad".

The woman told police that she and Joe Morones were arguing about messages on their phones at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, while their 2-year-old son was asleep.
