KKR vs SRH, Match 10, IPL 2018

Two boundaries and a six coming at a time where the game was on the line, helping the Sunrisers to their first ever win at Eden Gardens and giving Pathan victory over his former teammates.

But while SRH captain Williamson drew on his vast experience in rotating his bowlers, KKR continued to make surprising decisions that weren't successful. Bowling first in the rain afflicted match, the Hyderabad outfit displayed exceptional efforts in the field to restrict KKR's start to a paltry 138 in 20 overs. They scored 200 in the last match but failed to defend it, and they will need a similar score to defend on the belter of a wicket that the Eden Gardens has become.

With 41 victories, KKR is the third most successful teams while playing on home grounds.

"It's nice to get out there and take a few wickets".

All-rounder Shakib kept the squeeze on, ending the promoted Sunil Narine's short and scratchy innings, and claiming the big wicket of Lynn with a superb one-handed grab off his own bowling. "Think I should buy Manish some beers after this", he said after receiving the award.

Highly-rated leg-spinner Rashid Khan went wicketless, leaking 31 runs.

Opting to bowl after winning the toss, SRH's overseas duo of Billy Stanlake (2/21) and Shakib Al Hasan (2/22) put the brakes in the middle overs, triggering a collapse after a one-hour rain delay.

Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Chris Lynn, Dinesh Karthik (c), Robin Uthappa, Mitchell Johnson, Piyush Chawla, Kuldeep Yadav, Shubman Gill, Ishank Jaggi, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Nitish Rana, Vinay Kumar, Apoorv Wankhade, Rinku Singh, Shivam Mavi, Cameron Delport, Javon Searles, Tom Curran.

He then sent back Dinesh Karthik just as the Kolkata skipper was starting to threaten and added one more to finish with figures of 3/26 in yet another disciplined performance. But with the ball, he turned on the screws, sending back openers Saha and Dhawan to bring KKR back into the contest a bit. At times we want to use him as a floater. Chris Lynn was the top-scorer for the home side with 49 off 34 balls.
