Jonathan Villar starting Saturday for Brewers

Todd Frazier hit his first two home runs with the Mets, catcher Jose Lobaton tripled in his first at-bat with the team, and NY extended its winning streak to nine with a 6-5 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night. Fox Sports Net Wisconsin will broadcast this NL matchup and the game is scheduled to get underway at 7:10 p.m. ET.

Lorenzo Cain #6 of the Milwaukee Brewers can not get to a triple hit by Brandon Nimmo #9 of the New York Mets in the fourth inning during their game at Citi Field on April 15, 2018 in New York City. Runline odds sit at -180 for taking the Brewers +1.5 runs and +160 for the Mets -1.5. The team's gained 10.5 units for moneyline bettors and 11.1 units against the spread (ATS). With five of their seven wins coming in their final at-bat, Milwaukee has channeled the 1989 Packers with their cardiac nature. But the Dodgers swept Arizona 3-0 past year in the NL division series.

Chase Anderson - The Brewers pitcher kept the Mets hitters off balance all night, never running into any trouble as he struck out five and allowed just two hits over 6.1 innings and flirted with a no-hitter through 4.2. Milwaukee has an over/under record of 6-7.

The Brewers, meanwhile, are 7-7 after starting the season off hot, but they have stalled lately. The over has hit in five of those games, compared to four that've gone under in such games. The over's hit in four of those games, as opposed to four which went under the total. The Mets began the season 2-0, lost a game to the Cardinals 5-1 and haven't lost since. Anderson struck out 133 hitters over 141 innings previous year with only 41 walks and finished the season 12-4 overall with a 2.74 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP. He hasn't been great as his ERA is 3.94 on the year, but he has gotten better with each successive start and that's got to be a good sign for the Mets. Harvey started 18 games previous year and finished the season 5-7 overall with a 6.70 ERA and a 1.69 WHIP. Former Kansas City reliever Blake Wood (1-0) picked up the win. Harvey now owns a 3.60 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP. Nido was recalled from Double-A Binghamton on Wednesday and will likely split time behind the plate with veteran Jose Lobaton after New York's top two catchers, Travis d'Arnaud (Tommy John surgery) and Kevin Plawecki (broken left hand), were injured this week. "I thought for the first time in a while we were pretty consistent, had some guys hit some balls hard".

Blue Jays 8, Indians 4 • Teoscar Hernandez, called up Friday to replace injured Josh Donaldson, drove in the go-ahead run with a single off All-Star Andrew Miller in the seventh as Toronto rallied in Cleveland to snap the Indians' five-game winning streak.

Cabrera seemed to take a step back when hitting at home last season.

Ryan Braun was on deck to pinch hit, a day after leaving in the fifth inning with back tightness, but pitcher Jhoulys Chacin batted and grounded to deep shortstop.

Zack Greinke struck out seven over 6 1/3 innings, and Daniel Descalso drove in four runs, as Arizona extended its regular-season winning streak over Los Angeles to 10 games by holding on for a road victory.

Milwaukee's offensive production been led by Eric Thames and Jesus Aguilar.
