Henderson aims dig at Kane over Salah scoring rivalry

Manchester City ended their three-match losing run with a convincing win over Tottenham at Wembley Stadium.

"Yeah he's a big player for us, so hopefully he keeps scoring for us".

Two-time reigning Golden Boot victor Kane has been criticised after he was awarded Tottenham's second goal from their 2-1 victory over lowly Stoke City in the Premier League last week.

Salah is on course to be crowned this season's Premier League top scorer after taking his tally to 30 goals in Liverpool's 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.

Kane's goal will certainly go down in the dubious goals panel, for despite incessant tv replays of the moment, there seemed to be inconclusive evidence backing the 24-year-old's claims.

Tottenham do have a game in hand, and that will allow Kane to score one or two more goals and close the gap on Salah.

"It's normal that he was a little bit disappointed [by the response] because Harry and all our players have Twitter, Instagram and all those things and while Tottenham fans will have supported him, fans of other clubs will have killed him".

"We are very happy, we wanted to win the league but it has been a hard season, there has been a lot of improvements in other teams".

The decision was greeted with surprise by Salah, while Liverpool's Jordan Henderson could not resist a joke at Kane's expense following to win over Bournemouth, which moved the Reds three points clear of Spurs.

Salah raised an eyebrow last week when he tweeted "Wooooooow really?" after Kane won his controversial appeal to claim Tottenham's victor against Stoke City. He's just got to keep it going, with his work rate, his movement off the ball, how strong he is. "If it was me and I touched the ball I would try and claim it as well".

"Harry is an unbelievable striker".
