Donovan Mitchell X-Rays on Toe Injury Came Back Negative

Fortunately for Utah, the MRI came back negative, which means that Mitchell will probably benefit greatly from a day or two of taking things easy.

He will play in Wednesday's Game 2 against the Thunder, Chris Haynes of ESPN.com reports.

"I feel fine. I just stubbed my toe, nothing major", he told reporters postgame.

He finished with 27 points and 10 rebounds in Oklahoma City's 116-108 victory.

With that said, there is positive news on the injury front, with all indications pointing to a minor ailment on his left foot and a positive prognosis when it comes to an all-important Game 2. He led the Jazz and all rookies with 20.5 points per game, becoming the first rookie since Carmelo Anthony to lead a playoff team in scoring.

Needless to say, he just really wants to play.

Mitchell, 21, went down in the third quarter but later returned to the game. We'll get to see him in the NBA Playoffs beginning this weekend.

But can he and the Jazz earn a split in OKC?
