Apple Stores employing contractors for on-site iPhone battery replacements

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are a new generation of iPhone featuring a glass and aluminum design made with the most durable glass ever in a smartphone, Retina HD display, A11 Bionic chip and are designed for the ultimate augmented reality experience.

The other day it was reported that due to an update to iOS 11.3, iPhone users found to have repaired their iPhone displays at third-party fix stores had their touchscreens disabled. It is estimated that Apple could manage to sell only 8 million iPhone X during Q1 2018, resulting in the unprecedented sales decline in just a few months of the launch.

The screens continue to display the homescreen once updated to iOS 11.3 but can not be interacted with, effectively rendering the affected iPhone 8 device unusable without warning from Apple.

"Customers are annoyed and it seems like Apple is doing this to prevent customers from doing third-party fix".

This fix requires the faulty iPhone to be opened again and make the repairs. An iOS update prevented the touchscreens from working on iPhone 7s with third-party repaired screens.

Apple also introduced a new (PRODUCT) RED iPhone X Leather Folio crafted from specially tanned and finished European leather for a luxurious look and feel. Apple later apologized and issued a fix for the Error 53 issue.

It's no secret that Apple Stores have struggled to keep up with demand for iPhone battery replacements, and it appears the company is trying a new strategy to reduce fix times for customers with affected iPhones. Unless they are an authorized-by-Apple fix provider, however, they can only obtain "after-market" parts, not parts directly from the iPhone manufacturer.

The Third Model will have LED screen technology of iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus with improved 6.1 inch screen.

Apple did not immediately comment.
