YouTube for iOS Launches 'Dark Theme', Now Live in Canada

In a brief post on a YouTube support page, the company detailed how to use dark mode on mobile and where exactly it's available.

So when will those last details be ironed out and YouTube dark mode for Android ready for all to enjoy? The company added the feature to the desktop version of YouTube previous year and has been met with much demand from consumers to implement the same feature in the mobile apps. The dark theme for YouTube is pretty easy to open: you just need to head over to the app's settings and enable the Dark Theme toggle.

It looks like Google is in the process of rolling out a new update for the YouTube app, which will add a new dark mode, similar to the one that's been released on desktop previous year. Regardless, we'll be letting you know the moment we catch wind of it going live.

Dark themes on mobile have become more popular in recent times with services like Twitter, Reddit and Telegram embracing the dark theme.
