Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s to support Wireless Charging

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s to support Wireless Charging

New pictures of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S have apparently appeared online, as well as a render of the device and a camera sample for it.

This isn't the first time that the device was tipped to feature the wireless charging tech, but this seems to officially confirm the incorporation of the new feature.

Xiaomi is yet to release a phone with wireless charging, but hopefully this is a sign of things to come and all of its upcoming flagship devices join the trend. The company also confirmed it will add wireless charging support to the phone, which means the phone could have a glass back as well, instead of a ceramic body. Putting two and two together, it's easy enough to predict that the device will become the first Xiaomi smartphone to support cable-free charging.

With this leaked hands-on video clearly showing that the Mi Mix 2S will have a notch at the corner of it display, it looks like Xiaomi has solved its problem.

Reports state that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is scheduled to launch on March 27. The screen of the smartphone changed the aspect ratio to 19:9, becoming even more stretched, and from prying eyes he covers the motherboard with a Qualcomm 845 and 6 GB of RAM.

To recall, there have been a couple of images of the Mi Mix 2S floating around which show the selfie shooter located at the top-right corner of the phone in a small circular cutout. Presumably, it will house the selfie camera and the sensors on the bottom bezel like its predecessor. While generally, it's the leakers and tipsters who post information about upcoming smartphones, they cannot do much good if the company itself takes to social media. The smartphone is equipped with a Snapdragon 450 SoC paired with Adreno 506 GPU.
