It also displayed a "currently unavailable" status with no information about its release date, product description or the platforms it will support. It could be nothing or it could entirely be something, but a new Splinter Cell game is now listed on Amazon!

It has been five years since the last Splinter game named Splinter Cell: Blacklist was launched globally.

The listing, however, has been taken down now, and it could have been a mistake on Amazon's part. This timing would ideally mean that we can expect that Splinter Cell game this year. So it seems the developer definitely has something up their sleeves for the Splinter Cell series. Although there is little evidence that suggests a new Splinter Cell game could be in the works, no official information has been disclosed as of this writing to confirm its development.

"I can't say much about that", he told Geoff Keighley. "But, for sure, all the Clancy games are taken care of".

That said, it would be far from the first time that a listing on an online store hipped us to the existence of a game, and Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said in a 2017 AMA that Splinter Cell "is a brand we talk about a lot", and that fans should "stay tuned for more". "It's just we have quite a lot on our plate at the moment". Michael Ironside, who plays the character of Sam Fisher from the series Splinter Cell, was at Ubisoft in 2016, and had reported that work on a new Splinter Cell was on.

So there's a strong possibility that Splinter Cell might be back at E3, perhaps in a similar shape to Assassin's Creed Origins. The Amazon page simply lists the game as Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 2018 by Ubisoft, with no additional details.
