Salah named Premier League Player of the Month for February

Mohamed Salah has said that he and his Liverpool teammates are confident going into what will be a "special game" against Manchester United on Saturday.

Salah, 25, joined Chelsea in 2014 from FC Basel but only featured 13 times for the club in the Premier League before being shipped off to Serie A, initially on loan with Fiorentina and then to AS Roma on a permanent deal.

"It's a special game".

'The game is like any other game, we need the three points.

"But we know we play against Manchester (United) and De Gea".

"That's something good, but in the end I say I always try to help us to reach the three points and be in a better position, that's the most important thing".

Steven Gerrard has made the bold claim that Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah is the greatest African in Premier League history, despite the Egyptian not having completed one season as a regular stater in the English top-flight.

Salah is the joint-top scorer in the Premier League so far, with himself and Harry Kane both scoring 24 league goals each.

"Before the game you have to prepare yourself for the game, and you see the weakness of the players or the goalkeeper, and you have to try many times to break that and to score and to do something different", Salah told Sky Sports.

"The players make it easier and the boss also makes it easier for me", Salah said.

Not the worst reply given the speed at which he had to present it, but perhaps one full season in the Premier League, even if it is a record-setting one, isn't enough to warrant that accolade. He is a great goalkeeper and this is the only team I did not score against in the top six this season, so I will try.
