The Germany global, 28, has been linked with several top European clubs in his career, but is now committed to Dortmund until 2023.

After signing the five-and-a-half year extension, Reus said: "I am happy and proud to be able to announce today that I'll continue to wear the shirt of Borussia". Since childhood I have dreamt of running around in black and yellow and playing for this club. "With deepest conviction I would like to set a clear signal for the future with this signature". My pledge to the club today is also a thank you to the great fans that always supported me.

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc and CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke, who was sitting alongside Marco Reus, at the presser, said, "Marco improves any team". "He is a cornerstone of our offense and a coining face of our club".
