Liverpool do not fear any opponents in the Champions League - Roberto Firmino

With Manchester City out of sight at the top of the league, Liverpool are battling Manchester United for the runners-up spot this season. Even though Liverpool were on a good run of form once again, they were unable to break down their northwestern rivals Manchester United at their home stadium and went back with nothing but a widened gap between second and third place.

"Speaking to BT Sport, Ferdinand said: "[Spurs] have got to get over these hurdles and start continuing to build this club to be talked about as a top European football club, and that is what they're aiming for.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes that Saturday's Premier League clash with Manchester United is not a battle of playing styles and said he would have no problem "parking the bus" to stop United's attack.

"Of course I have to think about my footballing future", Can is quoted as saying by the Liverpool Echo.

The German global impressed in Tuesday's 0-0 draw with Porto in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie at Anfield as Liverpool advanced with a 5-0 aggregate win.

"Let's see who we will get in the quarter-finals", Can added. "But we are not afraid of anyone in the draw". We feel we can beat any side on our day. "This year, we belong there, to be honest, it should not be a big surprise and the next round will be very hard, there are seven other very good teams involved, so maybe five or four are from England, it doesn't make it easier to be honest", he said.

"They try to win matches in an honest way, by outpassing and outscoring opponents and what we saw yesterday was a team winning via an alternative route". But I don't think it matters to us (who we get).

With 11 games left, Wolves' title bid could take a hit with a demoralising loss against Villa, whilst the Villans might not enjoy another game against Wolves for a few seasons if they falter on Saturday.

"United may finish ahead of Liverpool this season, but I know which team I would pay to watch each week and they would not be managed by Mourinho". "You have to play against the big teams".
