LG V30 Android Oreo Update Rolls Out for Verizon Users

One of the mid-range series from Sony is the Sony Xperia R series which saw the launch of Xperia R1 and R1 Plus from Sony previous year. Now, the brand has announced the roll out of Android Oreo for both the smartphones.

Now, we have some exciting news if you are using a Sony Xperia R1 or Xperia R1 Plus as the Android 8.0 Oreo update has now been released by Sony for both the above-mentioned smartphones.

After rolling out Android Oreo for V30 users in South Korea over two months ago, recent reports suggest that LG is now also beginning to provide owners in the USA with the long-awaited update.

The new update brings a host of new features like Picture-in-Picture mode that enables a user to perform two tasks at the same time. So, for example, one can minimize a YouTube video while sending a text message or writing an email. Aside from Android Oreo's new features, Asus included some of its own, such as a "long screenshot" function, a more friendly setting UI design, as well as a fully redesigned emoji set.

To recall, Sony Xperia R1 and R1 Plus comes with a price tag of Rs 12,990 and 14,990 respectively. The dual SIM handsets now run Android Oreo, and sport 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) TFT displays. The Xperia R1 offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, while the R1 Plus offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Internally, the phones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, and a 13MP camera is present at the back, followed by the 8MP shooter on the front. The storage can be further expanded up to 128GB via micro SD card slot. There is a 2620mAh battery backing internals on both the phones.
