Katy Perry Surprises 'American Idol' Contestant with First Kiss

Her already-very-short dress got hiked up so far that the producers covered her lower half with an American Idol censorship graphic. During his pre-performance interview, the Oklahoma native admitted he had never kissed a girl because he'd never been in a relationship.

Young Zach D'Onofrio may not sound like it when he speaks, but he's got a Sinatra-style singing voice that had judge Katy Perry dancing with him-and judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie dancing with each other!

Katy Perry slips after her dance battle. All judges voted to send her to Hollywood. "Would the kiss have been appropriate if it was gender reversed?" wrote one viewer.

It's hard to create a true "water-cooler moment" in 2018, but the recently revived American Idol is doing its best to create a slew of memeable events (wig, anyone?). I mean, can you blame her? Going to 2026Yes, there is a a minimum age to audition for American Idol. And Katy also immediately attracted to the artist, too. And all three artists made it to the Hollywood. It was then that Sussett asked the judges to stand up and dance with her.

Lionel said it was really good but there were things she needed to tone down. "That looked like it hurt!" one tweeted, while another wrote, "Yo that was hilarious af, but I seriously hope that Katy Perry is feeling okay after that fall". But that didn't stop 7-year-old Dyxie Spring.

Lionel called the quality of his voice "fantastic", adding that he can "go places" with that gift. However, Garrett received a golden ticket. Giving it his all, vehicle crash survivor David Francisco was the last performance of the night. David had a very inspirational story about slowly recovering from an accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down.
