Ivan Rakitic: 'I'd welcome Neymar return to Barcelona'

Real Madrid has always been linked with a move for the stud attacker, but one of Neymar's national teammates and close friends believes he should re-join his former club, Barcelona.

Neymaralready regrets moving to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and is seeking a shock return to Barcelona, according to reports in the Spanish media. Whilst talking about Arthur, Coutinho said: "He has excellent qualities, I played with him once in the national team and I was pleasantly surprised".

Spanish publication AS report that the concern is now so great at PSG that Al-Khelaifi has flown to Brazil to speak with Neymar, who is currently in his homeland has he recovers from surgery.

Brazilian attacking midfielder Phillipe Coutinho joined FC Barcelona from Liverpool in the recently concluded winter transfer after Jurgen Klopp's club reached an agreement with Barca for a deal worth £142million.

'It would be great if he came back and of course we would open the door to that, ' he added.

"I think he will stay", Mourinho told La Sexta ahead of Tuesday's Champions League meeting with Sevilla.

"But I can not see him leaving", he added.

Coutinho echoed the sentiments of Ivan Rakitic who had earlier said he would welcome Neymar back "right now".

But there has been plenty of speculation suggesting Neymar has in fact played his last game for PSG.

In a poll on Mundo Deportivo's website, Barcelona fans made their feelings clear with 69% of 5,000 voters saying they would not bring him back to Catalonia, compared to 31% of readers who would.

Neymar has had a mixed start to life in Paris and speculation abounds about his future despite only joining the team past year.
