Heather Locklear: Actress charged with four counts of battery

When cops attempted to arrest the 56-year-old, she reportedly became violent.

Sgt. Eric Buschow of Ventura County Sheriff's Office told the Los Angeles Times that more police officers had to be called to Locklear's property in Thousand Oaks, California, because she was proving so hard to detain and get into a police patrol vehicle, becoming "combative" when officers attempted to use force.

TMZ reported that Locklear, 56, was charged with four counts of misdemeanor battery on an officer and is facing a count of resisting or obstructing an officer.

On Tuesday, Heather Locklear was charged with multiple counts of battery against law enforcement following her arrest last month on suspicion of domestic violence. No domestic violence charges have been filed.

The former "Melrose Place" actress was not unrepresented in court, her attorney was present on her behalf and asked the court to reschedule the hearing.

Buschow said that reinforcements were called to arrest Locklear and that she fought with the officers who struggled to get the actor into a patrol vehicle.

The star's rant was detailed in a police report obtained by People. Officers allegedly found Heisser leaning over the bed and restraining Locklear by her wrists as she laid on the bed. She kicked one of the officers before the alleged rant.

Heather also screamed, "You f****** deserve your kids to die! You f-- deserve it!'" Locklear said, according to the police report. "And when you find yourself in that position, think of me!'"

Officials did not release the name of Locklear's boyfriend.

The threat led to police executing a search warrant at the Thousand Oaks home. The "Rehab Card" is a common practice used by celebrities who have encountered legal problems and face potential jail time after an ugly substance abuse riddled encounter with the police.
