Devil May Cry HD Collection and Dante Coming to Monster Hunter

Monster Hunter: World's next crossover will be with another Capcom franchise: Devil May Cry. Capcom notes that you'll still be able to guard while using the new Charge Blade, despite its lack of a shield. This is a collaboration event between Monster Hunter and Devil May Cry that will go live sometime later this year.

Capcom Unity has shared more details on what type of event and gear will be expected from this collaboration. Although Charge Blades usually feature a shield in Monster Hunter: World, the Force Edge and Alastor Charge Blade does not include one. In the previous collaboration events, the Gestures Shoryuken and Hadoken could be purchased in game.

Not long ago, PlayStation 4 players were able to complete an event that allowed them to take on a special quest and complete an armor set to play as Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn. Her bow is also forged at the smithy. The collaboration celebrates the release of the Devil May Cry HD Collection.

The trailer above shows Dante's Monster Hunter: World debut in action, as he unleashes his transforming sword on one of the series' trademark beasts. Dante, the protagonist of the Devil May Cry series, will be coming to MHW.

The Devil May Cry HD Collection, which will be released on March 13th, is a remastered version of the Devil May Cry HD Collection for PS3 and XBOX 360 which came out in 2012.
