Championship midweek preview: Wolves, Cardiff and Aston Villa all in action

Villa would like to be able to afford that, but must achieve promotion to England's top flight to be able to, and they now sit third in the table, four points off the automatic promotion spots. With one win from their past five matches and 10 games to play, the worry for Wolves is whether the wheels come off altogether.

Ghanaian winger, Albert Adomah was on the scoresheet again as Aston Villa demolished Championship leaders, Wolverhampton 4:1 at the Villa Park on Saturday to keep their promotion hopes alive.

"We were not good enough, we were not focused enough". The goals that we conceded from set pieces bothers me and I think we should look at that and make a good analysis like we always do.

A bit of needle crept into the game with three first-half bookings for Danny Batth, Jota and Adomah. The attitude was there, the boys tried and sometimes you do things that you can avoid. Three straight wins in the Sky Bet Championship have left Aston Villa pushing hard for an automatic promotion place, however Steve Bruce's men are listed at 16/1 to catch the two sides directly above them in the league table.

As for the visitors on Tuesday night, Ian Halloway's QPR side have spent the majority of this campaign stuck in limbo.

Speaking to The Mirror, Bruce commented on Terry's importance to the squad in the business end of the season: "His name on the team-sheet certainly helps us".

All will feel that they can lead the line in the coming months, then, but most of the fans want Grabban and, honestly, it's hard to argue with that right now.

Vexed supporters of the Molineux club took to social media to vent about the Villa boss.
