Camila Cabello Denies Rumors Taylor Swift Persuaded Her To Leave Fifth Harmony

Although the "Havana" singer managed to succeed on her own, she is still affected by rumors surrounding her split from the group. Earlier this week, while Camila was being interviewed by United Kingdom radio host Dan Wootton for The Sun, she addressed an old rumor that Taylor Swift encouraged Camila to quit Fifth Harmony and go solo.

Camila Cabello is becoming the queen of trying to turn non-events into high key drama.

Back in 2015 when she was still in Fifth Harmony, the band performed with Tay during her The 1989 world tour. Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane Hansen, Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, and Cabello are pictured attending Z100's Jingle Ball on December 9, 2016 in New York City.

In reality, as Camila notes, when she and Taylor hang out, they're not spending that time plotting intricate, life-changing career moves. Most people realize that Ivy's acknowledgement is a gift and never something to feel attacked by, and also that a 6-year-old is probably not scheming to make a grown woman feel less than, but somehow no one on Cabello's team told her? "We strategize over it".

"Absolutely nobody could ever persuade me to do something".

Mendes and Cabello sparked dating rumors - and reports that she was eyeing her departure from Fifth Harmony - after releasing their duet, "I Know What You Did Last Summer", in 2015.

She told The Dan Wootton Interview podcast: "This album, '+', was the first album that made me really want to start taking my love for music seriously and it made me wanna pick up a guitar and write about love".

"And if I do then the whole world could be telling me to not do it and I'll do it".

And while the brunette beauty is trying to keep their burgeoning romance low-key, she's admitted to being "really, really happy" at the moment. I need to keep some things mine for them to be special - and just to protect that.
