Arsene Wenger provides update on injured Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette

Arsene Wenger will announce his exit from Arsenal at the end of the season during a press conference on Friday.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is anxious by an apparent dip in attendance at the Emirates stadium in recent weeks but said he is confident the team will do "absolutely everything" to win back their fans.

"I can't say more, because there is nothing to say about it and I certainly do not want to upset Arsene, who I adore and for whom I have a lot of respect".

The Italian, 50, has won 71% of his games in charge of Juventus, winning three Serie A titles whilst taking the club to two Champions League finals, making him one of the top managers in Europe - and Arsenal may now hope to lure him away from Italy this summer.

The stadium was only half full for the 3-0 loss to Manchester City a fortnight ago and about one third of the seats empty for Sunday's 3-0 win over Watford.

It means Alexandre Lacazette is the only player now on the sidelines through injury as the French worldwide is still working his way back to fitness after undergoing knee surgery last month.

"I think if it's the end of the story, he will be the first to recognise it", the former Gunners captain added. "This game is very important for us and our season". "He has the right to take that decision himself", he told 'Equipe.

"On my side nothing has changed", Wenger said.

"We've just not seen that fire from Mkhitaryan".

Arsenal hold a 2-0 lead going into the second leg against Milan and were given an injury boost as Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal are both available again after missing the first leg. Shkodran Mustafi has also been cleared to play after limping off during the Watford win.

The Gunners faithful have been given renewed hope of another man leading their side after Frenchman Patrick Viera claimed he would hope to return back to Arsenal.

"We make a proposal to him, I want him to stay and be linked with the club in the future".
