Apple's WWDC 2018 event will start on June 4th

Apple announced its annual World Wide Developer Conference ticket lottery on Tuesday. Tickets are priced at US$1,599. The developer conference is schedule for June 4th through 8th, and like previous year, it will take place in San Jose's McEnery Convention Center.

Apple will also be taking a page from Microsoft's and Google's books and be debuting universal apps by allowing iOS apps to run on macOS devices.

Apple has reportedly shelved many exciting features intended for iOS 12, including a home screen redesign and several app tweaks. While not many details have been given surrounding the new software, we did hear a little while ago Apple plans to refine the experience of using iOS 12 while also offering cross-platform compatibility between iOS and macOS.

This is the second year that Apple will host WWDC at the McEnery Convention Center. The HomePod has been its major focus in the first half of this year. That said. reports indicate that a new low-end MacBook and smaller iPad Pro version may be breaking cover at this event.
