Albert Wilson Signing with Miami Dolphins

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the Dolphins will sign Albert Wilson to a three-year, $24 million deal.

Multiple sources are reporting that Miami is adding two speedy wideouts who are known to have good hands and high football IQs. Wilson compiled 1,544 yards in four seasons as a spot-starter in K.C. He's coming off his most productive campaign, earning 554 yards on 42 receptions with three TDs in 2017.

The ex-K.C. wideout is the third receiver to agree to a deal before the NFL's new league year opens Wednesday, joining Allen Robinson (Bears) and Sammy Watkins (Chiefs).

The speedy 25-year old receiver will be asked to fill the void left by Jarvis Landry, who was traded to the Cleveland Browns on Friday in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick in 2018 and a seventh-round pick in 2019.

The personable Aikens was switched to cornerback a year ago from safety, where he spent most of his career.

On the eve of free agency, the Dolphins released veteran linebacker Lawrence Timmons as expected.

The Chicago Bears also reportedly have a strong interest in Wilson.

Aikens has been with the Dolphins since his rookie season in 2014 and has become a key contributor on special teams.

Timmons' departure clears $5.5 million in cap space for Miami.
