Weinstein considers legal action against Thurman

She also accused director Quentin Tarantino of trying to "kill her" on Kill Bill, by "forcing" her to perform a risky stunt in an unsafe vehicle which she ended up crashing, and now has permanent injuries.

Uma Thurman has revealed that Harvey Weinstein tried to rape her.

As Thurman explains in the interview, the incident was horrific and deeply troubling to her, but the aftermath was also incredibly upsetting. "And he was very angry at that, I guess understandably, because he didn't feel he had tried to kill me", Thurman added. I was doing anything I could to get the train back on the track.

"And I was standing there in my full black leather outfit - boots, pants, jacket".

In a statement sent to HuffPost, a Weinstein spokeswoman characterized what happened in the Paris hotel room as "an awkward pass" made by Weinstein after "misreading [Thurman's] signals". He said: 'I promise you the vehicle is fine. "And he was getting very flustered and mad and he jumped up and ran out".

The actress severed all ties with him immediately after the incident and, on the other hand, Weinstein stopped doing any projects with her. "We had a fateful fight at Soho House in NY in 2004 and we were shouting at each other because he wouldn't let me see the footage and he told me that was what they had all decided". The latter production is where things got outright unsafe for the actress, when Tarantino insisted on her driving a dilapidated auto for the scene from Kill Bill, Vol. 2 where she drives to visit Bill's father figure, just before she goes to confront Bill. "But he didn't actually put his back into it and force me", she told the newspaper. "You're like an animal wriggling away, like a lizard". The actress told her that Weinstein had threatened to end her career.

Weinstein's representatives say he acknowledges making an "awkward pass" but denies physical assault.

And the legal battles affected her relationship with former friend Tarantino.

Thurman says when she expressed fear about driving a possibly faulty vehicle in Tarantino's "Kill Bill: Vol. 1" he insisted.

The production of the movie "Kill Bill" again brought Thurman and Weinstein together. "When I came back from the hospital in a neck brace with my knees damaged and a large massive egg on my head and a concussion, I wanted to see the auto and I was very upset". Quentin and I had an enormous fight, and I accused him of trying to kill me.

When she asked to see footage of the crash, Thurman said the studio wouldn't allow her to see it unless she signed a document releasing them from any liability.

But some are taking issue with a film that gives Polanski a spotlight, given that he was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in 1978 - before he fled the country to avoid imprisonment.

Thurman also revealed how, not long before, Thurman was lured into a steam room with Weinstein in Paris. "Harvey assaulted me but that didn't kill me", she said.
