Noted Film actor and Director Kashinath passes away

Noted Kannada film actor-director-producer Kashinath died today at a private hospital in Bengaluru.

Reports suggest that the actor who made audience laugh with his comic toming was suffering from cancer and had been admitted to the hospital two days ago.

With his unique style, Kashinath gave a new dimension to the Kannada film industry. He had also helped many others enter the industry and gain a foothold. Kashinath, 67, is survived by wife Chandraprabha and two children.

He is also credited to giving opportunity to fresh talent like Upendra, Manohar and Sunil Kumar Desai. The film, considered one of its kind in Sandalwood, was also remade the film in Bollywood titled Be-Shaque. He was recently seen in Chowka, directed by Dwaarakeesh, which was released a year ago.

He directed, produced, and acted in many well-known films such as Anubhava, Anantana Avantara, Avale Nanna Hendthi and Hendathi Endhare Haygirabeku. Kannada celebrities have been expressing their shock on social media while condoling the death of the veteran filmmaker. In fact, most people associate "double meaning" with Kashinath.
