Manchester United have enquired about the possibility of re-signing Javier Hernandez as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his strike force, according to reports in the British media.

"Pulisic himself seems too level-headed to eye up a move to bigger, more pressurised clubs before he's fully formed as one of those rare attacking midfielders who can make the difference every single time they touch the ball", ESPN's Raphael Honigstein wrote in his report.

Manchester United are now up against Stoke City on Monday and speaking about the early team news, the manager revealed, "Zlatan is injured, or is not totally happy with his condition". He fought like a tiger, like he likes to say, to be back, which he did.

There is no doubt that without David de Gea, Manchester United will be far worse off in the race for the Premier League title. He was starting having minutes here and there, he had a start, he had 60 minutes of one game and started another one, and had 45 [minutes], and he was not happy with his feelings.

The Portuguese tactician joked in a rare Instagram post accompanied with a video of down-pouring rain: "DUBAI....warm weather training camp".

"He consulted other doctors and other opinions, and we all made the decision to stop treatment. When [he is] feeling good, [he will] come back to work".

However, there could be better news for United with Antonio Valencia and Michael Carrick both closing-in on their returns to action after taking part in full training while away with the squad in Dubai this week. The team captain has been out of commission due to an irregular heart rhythm that required a procedure called a cardiac ablation. Also, the sure absentee will be center-back Eric Bailly.

Other than all that, United are in pretty good shape for this league clash.

Man United fans will be hoping that their side break the bank for a few high profile signings in 2018, but securing the long-term future of the world's best goalkeeper will undoubtedly be their main priority this year.
