Jack Wilshere To Make Speedy Return From Ankle Injury

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has admitted that Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere made a positive impact at the Cherries during his loan spell at the club last season.

Wilshere, who was captaining Arsenal at Stamford Bridge, was substituted in the second half after he was seemingly hurt in the process of blocking a cross.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Wenger said: 'From Wednesday night, Jack was injured but we had good news.

"Thanks for all the messages and support after last night", Wilshere posted on Twitter.

Wilshere has since re-established himself in the Arsenal starting lineup, but Howe feels that Sunday's top-flight fixture will represent a "big game" for the player. I saw him walking yesterday, he's not yet out of the game on Sunday.

Wenger is now suffering problems at the back with injuries too, but expects the likes of Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal to be in contention next week. We'll have Ramsey back in the squad.

"Koscielny next week, Kolasinac next week". All the other players will still be out for Bournemouth.

"It is an ankle sprain". He had a swollen knee and a recurrence of what he had two or three weeks ago - that's why he wasn't involved on Wednesday'. His ankles are good, we can not say he has bad ankles now, but because of his history we always make a bit more of it.

Koscielny next week, Kolasinac next week - though he has a little, little chance to be available.

"Monreal, earliest next week as well", he added.

He is two weeks away.
