Imran Khan slams federal govt for failing to reform criminal judicial system

Khursheed Shah said Imran Khan abused the same House of which he wanted to become the leader, which shows he was a "mean person" and "Bazari".

"Laanath (curse) on parliament that made a criminal the president of a party", he said, referring to ruling Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz's (PML-N) decision to elect ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as its president.

Khan said Trump was using Pakistan as a scapegoat for the USA -led coalition's inability to defeat the Taliban and that his comments were "very insulting".

"I will always say Pakistan Zindabad, Democracy Zindabad, Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad, Parliament Zindabad, Bhutto Zindabad", he said, mentioning that the PPP had not insulted the institutions even when cases were framed against the PPP leadership.

"Do you want to invite a dictator after locking the parliament and then you will (have to) bow before him", he said without taking anyone's name.

Should he be elected Pakistan's new prime minister, Khan said he would talk to Trump, adding that the United States dishonours the memory of all the soldiers who died fighting militants, and other Pakistanis who perished in terrorist attacks.

He said they wanted to see strong courts, armed forces and other institutions. Dust should fall in the mouths of those who use such words (for parliament).

Imran Khan and Sheik Rasheed had publicly cursed the parliament, on 17th January at a joint rally of PTI, PPP and PAT, for voting in support of the "corrupt" Sharifs. He called for summoning the opposition leaders to the parliament and demanded that they be arrested and brought to the parliament if they wouldn't come otherwise.
