She-Ra reboot coming to Netflix

She-Ra reboot coming to Netflix

New episodes of She-Ra: Princess of Power will be premiering sometime in 2018. This was officially announced by the companies on 12 December.

This Netflix original will be the first to arrive on the streaming service next year and will follow the events of the 2016 animated musical film, Trolls. New original songs will come out and we'll hear Skylar Astin and Amanda Leighton as the voices of Branch and Poppy.

The new series will be an updated version of the '80s animated action series and will be helmed and executive produced by the infinitely talented Noelle Stevenson (Lumberjanes, Nimona).

It's been 30 years since "She-Ra: Princess of Power" made Saturday mornings a little cooler.

Boss Baby will continue his job with his brother's help. From Emmy-nominated executive producer Brendan Hay (Dawn of the Croods, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart) and Emmy-nominated supervising producer Aliki Theofilopoulos (Phineas & Ferb, Descendants: Wicked World), the series will be available to Netflix members worldwide in 2018.

Peabody Award and Emmy-winning executive producer Peter Hastings will be in charge of the upcoming series, which will debut on Netflix in 2018.

Along with this reboot, Netflix and Dreamworks are also going to release five other animated series in 2018, including "Trolls: The Beat Goes On!", "The Boss Baby: Back in Business", "Harvey Street Kids", "The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants", "Trollhunters Part 3" and "3 Below" (which is the second installment of the "Tales of Arcadia Trilogy").

Harvey Street Kids is a brand-new series developed by Dreamworks for Netflix; set on the eponymous Harvey Street, the show features best friends Audrey, Lotta and Dot, the "self-appointed guardians of Harvey Street", who will do "whatever it takes to keep Harvey Street the best block to never grow up on". Every afternoon is an adventure with them! Dav Pilkey's children's books got the big-screen treatment earlier this year.

We will see "Trollhunters" Part 2 (Guillermo del Toro) exclusively on Netflix.

3 Below follows two royal alien teenagers and their bodyguard who find themselves in Arcadia after fleeing their native planet during an unexpected takeover by an evil mastermind. Its final chapter, "Wizards" will debut in 2019.
