Nikki Haley to present 'irrefutable evidence' proving Iran violated nuclear deal

Still, it was unclear whether the new evidence would be enough to win support for sanctions on Iran from some U.N. Security Council members, like Russian Federation or China.

The U.N. chief says in a report to the Security Council that the United Nations is investigating Iran's possible transfer of ballistic missiles to Houthi Shiite rebels in Yemen that may have been used in launches aimed at Saudi Arabia on July 22 and November 4.

The crisis has deteriorated under Saudi Arabia's month-long blockade of desperately needed aid supplies in Yemen, where almost 70 percent of the population depends on foreign aid to survive.

"Saudi Arabia calls upon the worldwide community to take immediate action to implement the above-mentioned UN Security Council resolutions and to hold the Iranian regime accountable for its aggressive actions", the statement said.

A kamikaze drone is seen on display that the Pentagon claims was manufactured by Iran. "It's hard to find a conflict, or a terrorist group in the middle east that doesn't have Iran's fingerprints all over it".

"Iran's support for Houthi terrorist militias constitutes a flagrant violation of UN Security Council Resolutions No. 2216 and No. 2231, and has disrupted the political process and prolonged the crisis in Yemen", said an official statement on the Saudi Press Agency.

Adopted under former President Barack Obama, the historic deal lifted billions of dollars worth of Iranian sanctions in exchange for Tehran agreeing to halt its nuclear production, which the country maintained was always peaceful.

The United States on Thursday presented for the first time pieces of what it said were Iranian weapons supplied to the Iran-aligned Houthis, describing it as conclusive evidence that Tehran was violating U.N. resolutions.

Iran rejected the U.S. accusations as unfounded and Iran's Foreign Minister Javad Zarif, on Twitter, drew a parallel to assertions by then-U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell to the United Nations in 2003 about U.S. intelligence on weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

The Saudi-led coalition fighting the rebels in Yemen imposed a blockade of Yemen's air and sea ports and borders after the missile was sacked at Riyadh, citing concerns that weapons were being smuggled into Yemen. It said the missile's unique valve design is only found in Iran.

Iran, it said, appeared to have tried to cover up the shipment by disassembling the missile for transport, given crude welding used to stitch it back together. They lost to the Russians and the Syrians, and the Iranians, and Hezbollah.

A computer guidance system with Farsi keyboard that the U.S. Department of Defense claims was made in Iran. "Now, what's the proper reaction to that - the proper reaction would be too come back and reassess where we are", McGovern suggested, but instead what he calls an "unholy alliance" of the US, Saudi Arabia and Israel "are out to put all kinds of pressure to Iran". "They haven't given it to anybody else", Seal said.

"Following a series of baseless accusations against the Islamic Republic of Iran in the past 10 months, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations once again today took the same line accusing the Iranian government of supplying the missile that hit Saudi Arabia on November 4th - an accusation that we categorically reject as unfounded and, at the same time, irresponsible, provocative and destructive", Iran said.

USA officials point to design features and markings - described as being from government-run defence firms - that indicate the missiles are Iranian Qiam short-range ballistic missiles.
