Trump could triple Obama's time on golf course

Mr Trump, after a weekend at his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, has spent more time on the green than George W Bush did during eight years in office.

And while Barack Obama was POTUS, Trump regularly criticized Obama for golfing, arguing that the then-president was hitting the links too often.

Talk about walking around with blinders on; Rhodes looked past the words and deeds of his former boss to turn the tables on the president: "Trump has done far more to disrespect our country and our flag than any football player, including these constant attacks on black athletes".

Saturday was Mr Trump's fourth consecutive day at one of his clubs, where he played with golf star and supporter Jack Nicklaus, as reported by CNN.

Since taking office, Trump has been a regular visitor at his own golf clubs.

The visit marked the 81st time the 45th President has visited one of his 17 golf clubs (and, for majority, presumably played some golf) since becoming President on January 20, 2017.

CBS White House Correspondent Mark Knoller tracked Obama's games and tells CNN the former president played 333 rounds of golf during his eight years in office.

All but one round of golf has been at his clubs, playing once in Japan in November 2017 with Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe and Japanese star pro Hideki Matsuyama.

Almost two minutes after take off, he tweeted, "Since the first day I took office all you hear is the phony Democrat excuse for losing the election, Russia, Russia, Russia". At this point in his presidency, Bush had golfed seven times. "Believe me. Believe me, folks".
