11-year-old girl's adoption surprise caught on camera

VIDEO: Tannah Butterfield, 11, received the good news from her school's office manager.

Tannah was attending school in South Jordan, Utah when she was called in to the administration office. One of the people who saw that video is Tannah's mom, who said it helped her know she and her husband were doing the right thing when they chose to adopt Tannah and her two younger siblings.

Fisher and her husband will adopt Tannah after being her foster parents for two years.

A security camera captured the moment on video. She just held me tight.

"We just feel like we're ordinary people that are taking care of three children that we love and want to be part of our family", she said.

Tannah discloses to KUTV that she was so glad the selection was last that she couldn't relinquish Miss Jackie. "My heart was so happy". In 12 years at this job, this is by far my best moment ever! I can't even describe that hug ... and thank heavens her mom doesn't mind that I kissed her a million times, and a million more after the film cuts off.

"It was just so sweet the way Tannah got so excited", said her soon-to-be adoptive mother, Jennifer Fisher.

"There's a lot going on in the world and there's a lot of sadness that we see, but you know what?"

What's more, Alexander says she simply continued embracing her young companion.
